For this specific assignment, we are looking for Electrical Systems Construction Observers who will perform the duties of the assuring compliance of contractors in meeting the requirements of design for municipal infrastructure.
The work duties include: * Acting as the prime point of contact with the client for the electrical construction oversight of a large infrastructure construction as an observer to assure the contractor is in compliance with electrical construction, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality assurance, and design modifications.
* Building a trusted relationship with the client's project construction management team, and the Contractor's counterpart staff.
* Placing emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction - leads by example in driving safe practices on site.
* Reporting on the contractors and subcontractors work progress to the clients' project construction management team.
* Monitoring the progress of construction against the program goals and takes steps to ensure the program objectives are achieved.
* Ensuring that the project quality control procedures are being conducted by the contractor and the work is adhering to client quality assurance program.
* Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and the clients' internal systems.
* Reviewing and commenting on the Contractor's method of construction indicating their proposed timing and phasing of various electrical systems operations.
* Defining the scope of work of any sub-consultants and ensures that their employment is effectively administered.
* Using and applying client defined construction monitoring software and systems required for the administration of the project construction oversight.
* Assist with the reviewing and auditing any contractual claims raised by the Contractor for work performed.
* Contributing to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed design changes.
* Evaluating, selecting, and adapting construction management and control techniques, procedures, and devises and implements solutions to problems encountered.
* Effectively identify, manage, and report project risks.
* Attending regular site meetings to review the completion of works by the contractor against the program and agreed performance objectives.
Here's what you'll need * Registered Journeymen Electrician or Registered Electrical Engineer * Minimum 5 years' of experience in construction or construction observation of High to Low voltage systems, and SCADA systems, preferably in the commercial or municipal markets * Familiarity with NEC codes and standards.

The base salary range for this position is $85,200.00 to $163,650.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
