Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

License: Required: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS.
Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have: Requires one of the following: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS.
Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
The technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
The Ultrasound Technologist must handle the movement, set-up, and operation of medical ultrasound equipment.
Flexibility is required to work other shifts or locations as needed.
The technologist will troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems.
Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure is expected.
The technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
Communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
The technologist must also demonstrate adherence to applicable competencies and core values.
Consistency with administrative and departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability is essential.
The Ultrasound Technologist will promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement.
They will collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to create an optimal work environment.
Exceptional physician satisfaction is promoted by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.
All duties must be performed while protecting patient confidentiality.
The technologist will adapt patient assessment and treatment methods to accommodate individual needs.
Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care is required.
Examinations and procedures will be performed to assist in patient throughput.
Flexibility by working different shifts or locations as required is necessary.
Completed exams must be correctly scanned and stored.
The technologist will follow downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate issues as needed.
They will troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Education/Skills:
Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or equivalent required.
Basic computer experience is required.
State licensure is required in accordance with regulations.
