Job Purpose
The Team Lead, Senior Business Analyst is responsible for working with revenue cycle project leaders to understand business processes and to develop reporting and analytics to monitor performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a current knowledge of industry and technology trends and utilize this knowledge to drive innovation in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Prepare recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards to address and support key business functions and initiatives.
Perform monthly and ad hoc cash goal analyses. Query and analyze client data to find and understand trends and their financial impact. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of client specific data, including payer mix, insurance and financial classes, patient access system details, data timing issues, and other issues of specific importance to each client.
Support day-to-day operations with ad-hoc analysis.
Communicate and collaborate with other team members and clients to develop solutions as needed.
Manage the work queue for daily requests.
Compile comprehensive and accurate client-facing reports on a timely basis. Analyze and solve problems quickly and thoroughly.
Responsible for managing day-to-day tasks and performance of assigned analyst team. This includes ensuring work is appropriately distributed, completed on time, and satisfies the end-users needs.
Use, protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. This position will supervise employees.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar Analytic discipline.
Requires two (2) years revenue cycle analytics experience within the healthcare industry to include 2 years: working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts and pivot formulas; experience using a major programming language; customer support and client issue resolution management; utilizing understanding of best practices for efficiency working with large data sets (> 1M records) in Excel; and utilizing knowledge of health insurance company practices regarding reimbursement.
Functional knowledge of databases and SQL is required.
40 hours per week, M-F. 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
