The position of Warming House Attendant is a part-time seasonal position for our outdoor rinks.

Candidates must be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week from December 12, 2025-February 23, 2025, 2025 (weather permitting). Rink attendants are responsible for upholding all rink policies and procedures, opening and closing of warming house facility, leading special activities, assisting skaters, documenting reports, cleaning of facility, and performing other duties as assigned.

* Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all warming house and skating rink patrons.

* Responsible for the punctual opening and closing of the warming house facility and rinks when scheduled.

* Monitor rinks to ensure rink rules are enforced and a safe skating environment is provided.

* Assist and/or lead special activities for youth and families on occasion.

* Assist young skaters with skate lacing and provide general assistance as needed.

* Document skating attendance, maintenance issues, incidents and/or injuries.

* Maintain clean and orderly facilities during your assigned shift.

This includes shoveling of walkways and entrance to building, sweeping of floors, bathroom tidying, and other opening and closing procedures.

* Verifies warming house is equipped with First Aid supplies.

* Keeps Recreation Supervisor advised of any developments at the warming house facility.

* Performs other related functions as apparent or assigned.

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, supervisors, agencies and general public.

* Ability to work independently with general guidance from the Recreation Supervisor.

* Ability to perform duties with tact and discretion.

* Must have the ability to accept constructive criticism or discipline in a positive manner, initiating self-development to improve job performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to the following: * Sixteen years of age or older.

* Must be responsible, organized, have leadership, and decision-making skills.

* Must be courteous, friendly, and enjoy interacting with people of all ages.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or keyboards; speak intelligibly, hear and read.

* The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.

* The employee must frequently move, turn, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

* Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

* Must be able to operate assigned equipment.

EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION: This position works outside and may be exposed to inclement weather conditions, including temperature shifts and wet and/or humid conditions.

This position works closely with others.
