Position Details Position Information Position Title Assistant Professor of Histology; OPCVM Department CVM Research Position Category Faculty Job Description The Assistant/Associate Professor of Histology is a full-time faculty position responsible for teaching, research, and service in the field of veterinary medicine with a particular focus on histology.

Faculty in this role are expected to foster student learning, participate in research or scholarly activity, and engage in service to the profession and community.

The position carries primary responsibility for teaching microscopic anatomy and cell biology within systems-based and independent courses, contributing directly to the mission of the University and the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or PhD in histology, cell biology, or a closely related biomedical field.

Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of Florida (if clinically active). Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree, residency training, or specialty board certification in veterinary histology or a related discipline.

Previous teaching experience in an academic setting.
