ECE Preschool Paraprofessional

TITLE: ECE Preschool Paraprofessional QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

* Educational aide certificate.

* Experience working with children * Ability to interact positively with parents and staff.

* Must be highly qualified according to ESEA requirements.

REPORT TO: Building Principal JOB GOALS: To aid in the implementation of the educational process.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: To be assigned by the building principal in any combination of the following areas: Activities may include the following or other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal: * Supervision of students * Tutoring of students * Testing students * Miscellaneous classroom duties assigned by the principal EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel and provisions of the bargaining unit.

ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS: * Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.

* Excellent observation and communication skills * May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.

* Assisting students with behavioral/management needs * Frequent evening and/or weekend work
