Job Description

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Specialist II to support the operations of the Central Imaging Lab (CIL). This role will play a critical part in managing imaging data, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and maintaining effective communication across research partners and committees. The Research Specialist II will also provide administrative and fiscal support for the lab while contributing to the overall success of ongoing research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Central Imaging Lab (CIL) Management

o Oversee day-to-day operations of the CIL, including administrative, fiscal, and protocol management.

o Coordinate and organize team meetings, ensuring efficient communication and documentation.

• Image Processing & Data Integrity

o De-identify imaging data to protect patient privacy and ensure compliance with research standards.

o Archive and maintain all images provided to the CIL for accurate record-keeping and future research use.

• Collaboration & Communication

o Serve as the primary point of contact between the CIL and external partners, including Web-DCU, Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC), and the Steering Committee.

o Provide timely updates, reports, and communication to ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Shift

8am-5pm M-F

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.87- $26.87 Hourly

Grade: GGS - 008
