Job Summary/Basic Function
The Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Athletic Events is a vital role within the athletic department, responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all athletic events, facility operations, and special programs. This position oversees event and game-day management, championship hosting, athletic facility maintenance and scheduling, and supports camp and clinic operations. The role also serves as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fan engagement, ensure operational excellence, and maintain NCAA compliance standards. The Assistant Athletic Director will be a proactive, organized, and collaborative leader who plays a central role in elevating the student-athlete and fan experience while ensuring operational excellence across all athletic venues and events.

Event Management
• Planning and execution of department special events
• Assist Alumni Association with all events related to athletics
• Coordinate and plan sport specific events with coaching staff
• Create ideas for events to enhance fan engagement
• Primary liaison with Aramark for all athletic events on campus
• Coordinate with External affairs for activation of sponsorships.
Game Management
• Primary game manager for all sports
• Plan promotional events for all sports
• Coordinate game day operations with campus police, facilities, campus services, and other campus partners
• Coordinate with Cheer, Dance Team, Band, and Pep Band for game day appearances and scheduling
• Game day parking and ticket sales and management
• Update script templates with information for sponsors and special events
• Update game guidelines and programs
• Create and maintain update manuals for set up and hosting all home events
Championships
• Primary coordinator for all playoff games
• Assist with submitting bids to host all playoff games
• Assist with reconciliation for all playoff games hosted on campus
• Help with planning for post-season travel as needed
Camps/Clinics
• Liaison between coaches and campus services, ATs, Facilities, Dining Services
• Create procedures and streamline processes for scheduling and operating camps in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance
• Assist coaches with marketing for camps
• Coordinate camp check-in process
Facilities
• Schedule annual maintenance for all facilities
• Handle facilities issues that arise at all athletic facilities
• Prepare for potential facility upgrades required by NCAA
• Handling scheduling off all athletic facilities
Social Media Management
• Work with SID, SID GA, University Communications, University Marketing to advertise events and promotions
