General Labor Technician

**Overview** **Job Summary Details** : The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to address tenant reactive / requested repairs and services and basic preventative maintenance work orders, while maintaining a safe environment for building occupants.

Pay: $16.50/hour _The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.

+ Report light ballast issues to engineering.

+ Troubleshoot appliances and other equipment.

**Plumbing** + Unclog drains with plunger or drain snake.

+ Locate and close isolation valves for emergencies.

**Carpentry and Locks** + Install shelves, soap dispensers, and other fixtures.

+ Perform simple woodworking repairs.

+ Hang clocks, pictures bulletin boards, coat hooks, etc.

**Miscellaneous** + Knowledge of computers, work order systems, and ability to read reports.

+ Be able to communicate and respond to tenant requests as instructed.

+ Complete assigned maintenance work orders in accordance to customer and management timelines and expectations.

+ Ability to lift 50lbs, climb on ladders and work in confined spaces.

+ Must have the ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties.

+ May perform other duties as assigned.
