The University of New England College of Dental Medicine (UNE CDM) is seeking a Sterilization-Dispensary Assistant to join our Oral Health Center (OHC). The OHC Sterilization-Dispensary Assistant supports the clinical faculty, dental students, and other clinical support staff.

This position reports to the Manager of Central Sterilization and Dental Assisting with a focus on preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with an anticipated pay rate of $19.27 an hour.

For more information about our outstanding benefits, please visit: UNE Benefits Overview Responsibilities * Following infection control protocols and model protocols for students * Preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to support clinic operations * Maintaining inventory of clinic materials, supplies, and instruments * Performing quality assessment and maintenance of dental instruments * Reporting clinical equipment failures and maintain clinical equipment, as directed * Maintaining/recording logs related to equipment operations, sterilization, and dispensing * Participating in required training and mandatory in-services * Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma and any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Additional preferred qualifications include: * 2 or more years of experience in clinic, hospital clinic, or dental office * Preferred knowledge of dental instruments and terminology * Ability to effectively interact with faculty, professional staff, and students, and patients * Experience with computers, printers, copy machine operation, and telephone operation * Strong commitment to excellent customer service and contributing to a positive clinical environment EEO Statement Summary Consistent with federal and state law and University policy, the University of New England is committed to the fundamental concept of equal opportunity for all of the members of the University community.
