Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience . * A minimum of two (2) years' experience in higher education financial aid advising and/or financial aid processing.

Position Details Position Purpose Serve as a key representative of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive financial aid outreach and education services to both prospective and current Oakland University students.
This position is dedicated to increasing enrollment and promoting financial wellness through strategic outreach in high schools, community colleges, civic organizations, and community-based settings, as well as through on-campus collaboration with university departments.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Senior Outreach Coordinator leads initiatives aimed at building strong community and institutional partnerships, with an emphasis on early financial aid awareness, education, and support for students and families.
The coordinator will develop and present financial aid sessions, coordinate outreach events, and provide one-on-one advising to assist students and families in understanding financial aid processes and making responsible financial decisions.
Part of increasing student understanding also entails assisting in customer service activities on-campus.
The coordinator is responsible for helping to develop and distribute outreach materials, managing updates on the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships website, and managing outreach activities and services for both on-campus and off-campus audiences.
The coordinator will work collaboratively with other areas of the university including, Admissions, Enrollment Management, Student Business Services, and the academic units.
This work is done to help reduce financial barriers and help students to navigate complex financial aid systems.
