ENGINEERING MS4 FIELD INSPECTOR

CITY ENGINEER - DUTIES: Reviews Site Review Plans.

Field inspects new construction for proper erosion control installations.

Leads the collection of in-stream sampling.

Leads the collection of quarterly water quality sampling.

Operate and maintain the water sample vehicle.

Marks existing storm inventory where none is present.

Reports completed inspections to the MS4 Director.

Reports inspection violations to the MS4 Compliance Coordinator.

Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Incumbent must possess a knowledge of erosion control installation requirements and water quality field testing procedures.

Incumbent must possess a high school diploma or GED and have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in municipal or government organization.

Experience in field data collection would be considered a plus.

Incumbent must possess personal skills in order to effectively communicate with construction site owners if questioned in the field and the communication skills to convey erosion control issues to both the permittee and municipal managers.

Must possess a valid Driver's License.
