MedStar Medical Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
This outpatient-based role supports the Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Clinic, a national leader in the management of cardiac amyloidosis, cardiac sarcoidosis, and other infiltrative diseases.
The NP/PA will be responsible for managing a high-volume, complex patient population in collaboration with cardiologists and nurse navigators, providing longitudinal care, coordinating diagnostic evaluations, managing follow-up visits, and contributing to overall clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: * Evaluate and manage patients with infiltrative cardiomyopathies in an outpatient setting * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of the Medical Director * Facilitate new patient consults, diagnostic workups, referrals, and follow-ups * Provide patient education/advocacy and longitudinal disease management * Lead multidisciplinary team engagement in amyloidosis/sarcoidosis, clinical research, data collection, and process improvement initiatives Qualifications: * Licensed NP or PA with relevant clinical experience (cardiology/internal medicine preferred) * Proven ability to function independently in a fast-paced specialty care environment * Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and organizational skills Schedule: * Four 10-hour shifts per week; no weekends or holidays.
