Certified - Position - Health and Physical Education Job Number Start Date Open Date 03/04/2024 Closing Date QUALIFICATIONS: * Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Bachelor's Degree or Higher with an endorsement in Physical Education * Three (3) years of successful certified teaching Experience as afterschool robotics coach and/or innovated classroom instruction is strongly preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: The Physical Education teacher will be responsible for providing STEM in the Gym activities for physical education.

The teacher will provide a fun and engaging way for children to learn about these important subjects while also promoting health and fitness that incorporates various hands-on activities, challenges, and experiments that encourage children to explore and apply STEM concepts in a gym or physical activity setting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth in the content areas of reading and math.

* Establish effective rapport with students * Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation * Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for 21st century * Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors * Willing to attend paid training sessions to prepare for the summer program * Additional duties may be assigned SALARY: $50/hour FUND SOURCE: ESSER Funds WORK TERM: May 28, 2024- June 27, 2024 (7:30a.m.- 12:45 p.m.) CLOSING DATE: Until Filled HOW TO APPLY: All applicants should complete the State of Alabama on-line application and attach it to the specific job number in order to be eligible for hire.
