Responsibilities: * Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children * Create a safe and nurturing learning environment * Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety * Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress * Maintain classroom and learning materials * Attend and participate in family conferences, school activities, and monthly staff meetings * Adhere to state guidelines and childcare regulations * Develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members * Work productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures Qualifications: * High school diploma (or equivalent) is required * CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred * Experience working in a licensed childcare center (1-2 years preferred) * CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire * Ability to work effectively with diverse populations * Knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles * Highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Dependable and adaptable and enjoys working in teams * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively Physical Requirements: * Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities * Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
