The Department of Communication Studies ( at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time Lecturer positions to teach undergraduate or graduate courses.
Areas of need include, may not be limited to mediated and mass communication, small group communication, health communication, organizational communication, nonverbal communication, and persuasion.
These positions require a master's or doctoral degree in Communication Studies or a closely related discipline and evidence of ability to teach effectively.
Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with only a master's degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.
Applicants should have experience teaching large lectures courses or online courses.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise.
Salary is established on a per-course basis.
While these positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible, individual positions may become benefits-eligible based on course load - which may vary depending on departmental need.
