The Scholarship Coordinator manages the scholarship awarding system of the Institutional Advancement Office and manages the front office.
The role gives support as the administrative assistant to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, Advancement Services Coordinator, and Events/Alumni Relations Coordinator.
The Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for organizing the scholarship selection process and maintaining records of award recipients.
The position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
The Scholarship Coordinator/Administrative Assistant has the ability to interact well with people and operates in a professional office environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field * Must be able to represent the college in a positive and professional manner, enjoy helping and interacting with students and donors, and have a warm and welcoming personality * Possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): * Manages "Award Spring", the scholarship awarding system * Prepares for Scholarship Selection Committee meeting * Responsible for training Scholarship Selection Committee on scholarship awarding system * Processes scholarship awards through the college's database management system * Plans and prepares for scholarship signing days * Works with students on information needed for completion of scholarship information * Responsible for annual donor mail-outs for notification of student recipients * Responsible for mail-outs of the Advancement Office * Manages the front office and orders all supplies for Advancement Office * Sends acknowledgement cards for memorials and honorariums * Provides event support for various foundation/alumni and college functions * Attend on-line training for the Advancement Office's database system, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge * Assists the Executive Director, Advancement Services Coordinator, and Events/Alumni Relations Coordinator with administrative tasks * Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and be comfortable using new and changing technology * Must be able to represent the college in a positive and professional manner, * Must interact with students and donors withe a warm and welcoming professional demeanor * Possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills * Detailed oriented and thorough in completing work tasks * Ability to work in a team-based atmosphere * Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain consistent communication.
