Technical Training Instructor

The Tesla Energy Customer Operations Training Team is seeking an experienced Technical Training Instructor to join our team in Draper, UT.

This role focuses on creating, managing, and delivering engaging educational content to support multiple teams across the Energy organization, including energy storage, charging, and solar product lines.

The ideal candidate will analyze training needs, design solutions aligned with learning objectives, and facilitate instructional content that drives key performance indicators.

This full-time onsite position requires creativity, innovative thinking, and strong problem-solving skills to foster a productive learning environment and enhance the training experience for stakeholders across various business functions.

* Train and certify others on critical subject matter across supported business lines and curriculum using various teaching methods and environments, including classroom presentations, hands-on activities, virtual training sessions, product demonstrations, and on-the-job coaching * Conceptualize training that supports business objectives, specifically designed to enhance knowledge and skill retention * Continuously evaluate existing training by collecting, reviewing, and sharing feedback with applicable business partners, focusing on training improvement * Pursue technical knowledge to gain a deep understanding of Tesla products and processes through regular communication with trainers, engineers, business leaders, and frontline employees * Perform ongoing upskilling by completing all certification programs and regularly engaging in field work * Represent Energy Training professionally in all scenarios and environments by providing support to learners, special guests, and visitors * 3-5 years of training facilitation or related experience, preferably in a high-tech or product-centric environment * Demonstrated understanding of renewable energy products and industry standards * Strong understanding of core concepts in training, curriculum development, and adult learning theory, with the ability to apply them in creating and delivering training content aligned with business needs * Eagerness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where objectives and responsibilities may quickly adapt to evolving industry needs * High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for efficient communication of information * Friendly, clear, and strong communication skills with composure, approachability, and interpersonal effectiveness
