We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager - Distribution to join a fast-growing Transmission & Distribution practice in the South-Central region. This role provides the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that support distribution modernization, client growth, and energy infrastructure reliability. As Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of distribution engineering projects-from concept through construction closeout-while serving as the primary client liaison. You will manage project financials, schedules, and resources, while building long-term relationships with clients and leading efforts to win new business opportunities. This role requires a strong technical background in distribution systems, proven project leadership experience, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, including routing/siting, environmental and permitting processes, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, procurement, construction administration, and closeout.
Act as the primary point of contact with clients, fostering long-term relationships and repeat business opportunities.
Prepare proposals, lead presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
Manage project financials, including cost forecasts, accruals, risk management, and change management.
Develop and implement project execution plans, policies, and controls to ensure consistent delivery.
Oversee schedules, scope, and budgets while ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.
Coordinate internal and external communication across stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Provide regular reporting on progress, safety, costs, and scheduling metrics.
Support team development through hiring, mentoring, training, and resource allocation.
Travel to client and project sites as needed (~20%).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 7 years of progressive distribution engineering experience, including at least 3 years managing engineering projects.
A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
Strong knowledge of distribution design and construction documents.
Familiarity with NESC code and other applicable industry codes and standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage financials, lead teams, and deliver complex projects successfully.
Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Previous consulting experience preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to travel (~20%).
