We are seeking a passionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) with at least 1 year of experience to join our team in the Columbus area, serving residents at our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF).
The primary responsibility of the QIDP role is to develop and implement individualized program plans (IPPs) for residents, ensuring that all related documentation is completed accurately and that services are provided consistently in a client-centered manner.
The QIDP acts as an advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring their rights are communicated and upheld regularly. Additionally, this position is responsible for facilitating staff training on new and existing programs, including behavior support strategies, to support the implementation of individualized care.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
Coordinate intake for new residents
Develop formal goals and documents sheets in accordance to IPP plan
Complete bi-weekly review of resident
Facilitates staff training on new programs, behavior management plans
Serve as a resident advocate
Provide direct supervision of programs on the floor
Maintain working knowledge of rules/regulations governing ICF/MR
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, mental health or another related field human services field.
1 year experience in developmental disability services, non-profit community-based organization, or related field.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Offices Software
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license.
Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
Must complete 40 hours of in-service training on an annual basis.
