Full-Time 601 Children's Lane Management/Leadership Days/Evenings * GENERAL SUMMARY * As a director, ensures the maintenance of an aseptic, safe and attractive environment within the Facility to ensure adherence to established Federal, State, Local and DOH sanitary and safety procedures. Also provides direction and training for housekeeping, patient transportation, laundry and linen distribution. * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Applies the principles of growth and development of all ages according to the department's policies and procedures in the performance of their job duties. * Maintains adequate shift coverage by scheduling employees for shifts to ensure that the areas of responsibility are thoroughly cleaned and maintained. * Uses the information provided through their daily tours and quality checks to make staffing adjustments and set project priorities. Uses this same information as part of a PI plan, which includes monthly flow charts and reports. * Follows DOH and JCOH standards by maintaining a Performance Improvement (PI) plan, which statistically monitors and evaluates at least two statistics that are important to the department. * Ensures an effective staff by interviewing candidates, hiring candidate, prepare and submit payroll information to corp. office, preparing and conducting performance evaluations, verbal counseling, and other disciplinary actions as needed. * Establishes sound goals and objectives and develops plans of action with priorities. * Meets with client direct report, department heads and vendors to achieve coordination, resolve concerns and plan future goals and objectives. * Make regular and frequent rounds to inspect work performed and identify areas to be repaired or improved. * Ensures a safe and attractive environment within the facility. * Set high standards for department performance and motivate others to obtain desired results. * Must prepare and control departmental budgets to ensure that facility resources are efficiently utilized. * Functions within State and County Health Department, OSHA, and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. * Daily interaction with patients, visitors, nurses, and other facility personnel to identify and resolve problems, clean units. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS * Required Licenses and/or Certifications * None required. * Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications * T-CHEST certification preferred. * MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * Required Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 5+ years experience in an account management role or 10+ years experience in a supervisory role required. * Preferred Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. * Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of Federal, State and Local guidelines regarding sanitary and safety procedures normally acquired through previous supervisory experience in a health care environment. * Effective oral and written communication skills in order to facilitate the resolution of problems with employees. * Reviews decisions to identify improvements. * Demonstrates an understanding of building systems and equipment. * Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Role in Children's Pavilion: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
