Job Responsibilities This position will be an integral part of the Treasury team in the Controller's Office managing all card programs to include Prepaid Business Expense, Participant Awards, and Athletic Team programs.
Management of these card programs includes order justification, fulfillment, and follow through to settlement on the general ledger, working with University departments during the entire process.
This position will also assist in other Treasury functions as time permits such as international bank wire initiations and payment method determinations.
Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications * PeopleSoft or other ERP Experience preferred.
* Higher Education experience preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 6 years professional accounting experience or equivalent experience.
Additional Comments * This position requires an extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles for higher education, thorough knowledge of state and federal statutes and regulations pertaining to higher education financial management and ability to analyze and interpret.
* The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of university, state, federal and other external personnel.
* Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting and grant accounting.
* Knowledge of higher education and/or state government fiscal accounting processes.
* Knowledge of financial statement analysis.
* Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and reports.
* Ability to plan, organize, review and supervise the work of subordinates.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
