Job Description

The Department of Human Services, Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is looking to fill an Adult Protective Services (APS) Therapist position in their Salt Lake City office as a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCT) or as a Social Worker depending on the qualifications of the applicant.
Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCT): Salary Range : $27.92 - $42.54.
Requires an active Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Psychologist licensure with the State of Utah.
Principle Duties
The APS Licensed Clinical Therapist will need to be able to:
Acts within APS statute, rules and policy and use independent judgment and discretion in the investigation of abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults
Prepares psychological or mental health assessments by obtaining background information such as physical, psychological or mental health, and social factors which contribute to the client's situation, and by studying case histories of clients/residents.
Facilitates the use of research data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources.
Facilitate resource coordination and community education.
Promote community awareness of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Participate in research, training, and supervisory programs and provide case management to include investigations, consultation, assessments of training needs and follow-up services.The Ideal Candidate
