Medical Lab Assistant II - Lab - Administration

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor the Medical Laboratory Assistant II is responsible for a variety of specimen collections on children both inpatients & outpatients, processing tests, referral test analysis preparation & shipping registration & lab test order entry hospital/departmental computer procedures Microbiology specimen processing & departmental instrument maintenance.

- The ability to remain calm under stress - Problem solver - Attention to detail - Flexibility MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, G.E.D.

or Equivalent One year of experience Phlebotomy certificate PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) Prior pediatric experience in phlebotomy, specimen accessioning and processing, patient registration and lab test order entry in a clinical laboratory under a qualified Director.

The current salary range for this position is $26.51 to $36.89 Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
