The Assistant Network Support Specialist's primary job function is to assist the Applications Manager in ensuring continued operation of all Microcomputer related hardware and software.
Also responsible for pulling network cabling.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: * High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required * Two year college certificate or equivalent required * BMVL required (Must maintain eligibility to drive as determined by SOMC insurance carriers) Licensure: * None Experience: * Six to twelve months related work experiences preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job.

1.
Assists Applications Manager in keeping request system current.
2.
Troubleshoots/repairs all microcomputers and related peripheral equipment.
3.
Installs Microcomputer hardware and software.
4.
Works with appropriate IS staff to help maintain IS Asset Database.
5.
Runs/installs network cabling as assigned.
6.
Follows all documented policies/procedures for updating the departments asset system.
