Intake /UR Coordinator

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Admin-Psychiatry Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Intake/UR Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating of the Intake/UR office for Psychiatry.

This includes, but is not limited to telephone triage, coordination of admissions, pre-certification, benefits, and concurrent reviews.

The UR person arranges physician reviews and maintains insurance information on all patients.

Acts as a liaison for other facilities.

Responsible for providing billing information for services provided by Intake.

Responsibilities include business operations and function, fiscal management, utilization review for IP and PHP and assist in triaging psychiatric intake calls.

The UR Coordinator also providers insurance verification for the clinical social worker department including verifying benefits, contract information, and insurance eligibility verification.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field * One year experience in psychiatry preferred * One year hospital/managed care experienced preferred * Child growth and development education required * CPR - BLS required * CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
