SOCIAL WORKER 3

The Position Social Workers are licensed professionals who provide case management services to children, families, vulnerable adults with intellectual, developmental, physical disabilities, serious mental illness, and older adults (collectively referred to as "vulnerable adults") and other individuals within local communities and institutions.

Social Worker 3s perform advanced journey level case management services in child protective services, foster care, adoptions, adult protective services, and/or guardianships.

The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is recruiting for multiple Social Worker 3 positions in Reno, Nevada.

This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Adult Protective Services (APS). The Social Workers within ADSD may support Nevada's older adults and people with physical disabilities to remain independent in the community and prevent long term care placements.

Additionally, be responsible for assisting vulnerable adults, ages 18 to 59, in addition to persons 60 years and older who are abused, neglected, exploited, isolated, or abandoned by investigating, providing, or arranging for services to alleviate and prevent further maltreatment while safeguarding their civil liberties.
