Salary: $28,836.00 to $46,327.00 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E5 06 and experience Assist with general maintenance to the buildings on each of the campuses of the college, to include maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and fixtures, providing light plumbing repairs, and other repairs and maintenance as needed.

* Provide general maintenance to the buildings, to include replacing bulbs and ballasts, replacing ceilings tiles, painting, and other general maintenance.

* Assist in repairing mixing valves and plumbing fixtures such as urinals, water closets, lavatories, sinks, and drinking fountains.

* Change filters in air handlers and provide routine visual checks on HVAC equipment.

* Assist in maintaining and repairing waste and sewage systems.

* Adjust thermostats.

* Replace faulty outlets and switches.

* Assist with light carpentry work as needed.

* Pick up housekeeping trash bags during afternoon rounds (Jefferson Campus) * Run leaf blower and pick up debris on grounds when necessary.

* Assemble classroom and office equipment and furniture.

* Assist in replacing parts and lubricating machinery.

* Assist with event set ups as needed.

* Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or GED certification preferred Experience: One or more years of full-time related work experience preferred Licenses: Valid State Driver's License required.

Must be insurable by the college's insurance carrier.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ability to read and write English-language.

* General mechanical aptitude necessary to perform general maintenance.

* Ability to grasp and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds a distance of three feet.

* Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding and work at heights around 30 feet.

* Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus.

* Ability to perform duties in confined space.

* Ability to work from written or oral instructions.
