Senior Software Engineer - Build the Brains Behind a Breakthrough Aerospace 3D Printing Platform!

Broomfield, CO Onsite

Opportunity Summary

Join a fast-growing aerospace tech startup developing next-generation smart factories powered by real-time automation and advanced materials. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineerto lead development of the embedded software and factory intelligence stack, driving a revolutionary composite 3D printing platform. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of robotics, manufacturing systems, and intelligent controls, bringing high-reliability systems to life on the factory floor. If you're energized by full-stack industrial automation challenges and building software that drives real-world hardware, this is your chance to help shape the foundation of a transformative company.

About Us

We're developing a cutting-edge additive manufacturing system capable of producing flight-ready components using a proprietary thermoset and ceramic-based 3D printing process. Our technology enables faster, cleaner, and more scalable production of complex aerospace parts through direct ink write (DIW) extrusion, real-time process control, and digital factory infrastructure. Applications span thermal protection systems, propulsion hardware, satellites, and other mission-critical platforms. Our factory platform integrates sensors, robotics, and advanced controls to create a self-learning, highly adaptable manufacturing environment, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automated aerospace production.

Job Duties

Architect and build real-time monitoring and control software for advanced composite 3D printing

Develop closed-loop systems that coordinate thermal, extrusion, and motion control using sensors and actuators

Design scalable digital infrastructure to manage and monitor a fleet of additive machines across production

Integrate cloud connectivity for system analytics, logging, diagnostics, and performance tuning

Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to test and optimize control systems

Interface with traceability, scheduling, and quality systems including potential ERP/MRP integration

Select and implement protocols, libraries, and system architectures balancing performance and maintainability
