Embedded Software Engineer

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder living in the Atlanta area.

Selectek is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer at our client's manufacturing facility in Alpharetta, GA. As an embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing C/C++ in an embedded Linux-based environment and play a key role in developing software for our industry leading products. This position will require high attention to detail, creative solutions to challenging problems, and an ability to work in a small team.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

5+ years of experience developing embedded software for electronic devices.

Proven experience programming C/C++ in an embedded Linux environment using a gcc-based toolset.

Experience with low-level protocols like I2C/SPI.

Strong object-oriented programming skills and design patterns experience.

Experience with GitLab and VMware, or similar tools, required.

Experience setting up a Linux-based IoT system is a major plus.

Excellent verbal communication and ability to thrive in a team environment.

Experience with shell scripting and automation is a plus.

Experience with RESTful APIs is a plus.Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement well-designed, object-oriented embedded code in C/C++ for Linux-based systems.

Establish and communicate clear requirements for assigned tasks.

Partner with QA to develop and execute regression tests.

Collaborate with the Web Dev team to ensure clear communication and education on new features.

Work with engineering management to set priorities and timelines.Benefits:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annual salary

Term of assignment: Direct Hire

Location of Job: Alpharetta

Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday: either 6AM - 2:30PM or 7AM - 3:30PM

WFH: 1 day per week

Remote: No
