Duties The objective of this program is to present an overview of the broadcast industry with plenty of hands-on projects.
Students should gain confidence and understanding in a variety of media communication situations.
Major units we study include: news media, with a central focus on video production and media literacy, narrative film making and documentary film making.
Students will learn pre-production, production and post-production techniques and standards.
Video and Broadcast Technology 6-8 grade This course introduces the field of broadcasting and other digital media.
Emphasis is placed on basic production knowledge and development of audio and visual messages.
Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the ability to create simple projects that can be broadcast.
Have to be able to demonstrate employability skills and perform work-related tasks.
Qualifications Our students learn and work in a newly constructed $250,000 production classroom with two individual production studios.
