Catering Bartender

Posting Number: 20200292T Position Title: Catering Bartender Position Type: Temp/Intern Location: Villanova, PA Work Schedule: temporary Approximate Number of Hours per Week Department: 423-Catering Position Summary: The Catering Bartenders are responsible for proper table/bar set-up, table service for guests, and knowledge of menu/drinks to be served.

This person will apply all safe food/alcohol handling principles as they pertain to this position.

This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement.

All of our associates should improve our systems and overall operation.

Duties and Responsibilities: * Set-up of dining room/bars for service.

* Taking customers orders and filling the order in a friendly and professional manner.

* Maintain a clean and neat work and service area.

* Performs clean up and breaking down of bars at end of event.

* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent.

* Bartending skills and practices.

* Oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision.

* Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: * Previous catering, serving or bartending experience.

* Ramp certification preferred.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: * Ability to use various chemicals.

* Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.

* Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs independently.
