Posting Number FAE1815 Advertised Title Assistant Professor of Teaching Campus Location Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number 008643 Category Full-Time Faculty Department Management Information Systems Position Summary Position: The Department of Management Information Systems in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for an instructor position.

This position will be effective Fall 2024, or Spring 2025.

This is a 9-month non-tenure-track appointment.

Hiring is contingent on final budget approval.

Responsibilities: Effectively delivering course instruction, evaluating student learning, participating in related department activities, and complying with all College and University regulations.

Assistant Professors of Teaching normally teach up to five 3-credit courses per semester.

For this position, the instructor will be responsible for teaching on-ground and/or on-line sections that could include MIS 7670 Information Security Management, MIS 3210 Critical Thinking using Analytics, MIS7710 Web Analytics, MIS 7720 Business Artificial Intelligence, or BA7603 Business Analytics for Managers, or other courses as needed.

Minimum Position Qualifications Qualifications: Candidates with an appropriate master's degree and significant related experience will be considered.

Ph.D.

in management information systems or related discipline is desired.

Prior college teaching experience in areas related to data analytics, artificial intelligence, programming, and online instruction is desired.
