Position: Elementary Education Administrative Assistant
Pennsauken Public Schools is an urban/suburban Pre-K to 12th grade school district of approximately 5,000 students located in Camden County, New Jersey
Primary Responsibilities
• Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence
• Performs usual office routines
Types correspondence, notice and reports
Maintains a well-organized up-to-date filing system
Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office
Arranges meetings, prepare agenda and handles follow-up activities as necessary
Assists, logs in, and directs visitors to the schools
Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate
Maintain and update attendance for district
Update and finalize renewal contracts for employees
Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned
Qualifications:
High school graduate
Must possess excellent typing, computer, filing, record keeping and communication skills
Must be organized, flexible and efficient, able to multi-task
Knowledge of automated office equipment and efficient office procedures
Good telephone skills and ability to communicate effectively
Must pass the NJ Criminal Background History Review
New Jersey residency requirement for public employees in effect
Must possess good problem resolution skills
Bilingual preferred
Terms:
12-month position with Benefits
$40,000 yearly, terms, and conditions of employment per contract
