Examples of Duties The overall purpose of this job is to assist in the basic food preparation and service of meals.

* Serve and maintain food quantities for large numbers of people * Assist with general cleaning chores in the dining area and kitchen * Set up, break down and maintain independent serveries * Provide assistance with catered functions * Provide guidance to student employees * Be well groomed and wear the proper issued uniform * Assist with stocking as requested * Participate in training, as well as other departmental function requirements * Other duties as requested Typical Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience: * Six months culinary experience preferred * Ability to operate and maintain production equipment * Basic knife skills, and the ability to grill, sauté, roast, broil, and fry food * Knowledge of proper/safe time and temperature for food handling * Ability to operate small kitchen equipment, including Robo-coup, mandolin, mixers, emersion blenders, potato peeler, etc.
