Reports To: Dean of BHCSS

Hourly Rate: $17.65/hr.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

The job of the tutor is to meet individually with students enrolled in courses in which the tutor has demonstrated mastery of knowledge and provide explanation/clarity on subject material, insight, guidance, coaching and academic success strategies. Tutors must participate in a mandatory tutor training the week before classes begin and in occasional tutor nights that will be scheduled throughout the academic year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet individually with students enrolled in courses that seek tutoring services

Be able to work evenings, as needed QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a currently enrolled, full-time WAU student

Must obtain the recommendation of the chair of the department under which the course(s) for which he/she tutors falls
