Executive Producer

The Executive Producer supervises news content across all media platforms for a specific daypart.

* Oversee the editorial process for stories in multiple newscasts and digital platforms * Manage team of producers and productions of newscasts * Define strategic direction for content coverage to meet editorial objectives * Approve stories and scripts in newscasts * Work with Reporters and Anchors in developing stories and social media presence * Lead team in breaking news situations * Work on special projects as assigned * Recruit, hire and schedule producers along with other Executive Producers * Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all platforms * Collaborate with Marketing Department on the daily execution of news promos Requirements & Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent * At least 5 years' experience in television or radio broadcast/production * Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff * Detail oriented * Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills * Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations * Utilize state-of-the-art television technology
