The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applicants for an adjunct instructor position in chemistry and biochemistry.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applicants for an adjunct instructor position in chemistry and biochemistry.

Qualifications

Minimum of a master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related discipline is required.

The Program

Chemistry is taught to first year students in majors such as engineering, nutrition, nursing, pre-physical therapy, and athletic training, as well as those majoring in chemistry, biochemistry and biology. In addition, a general physical science course is taught to incoming students majoring in elementary education. All of these courses contain laboratory components.

The Department

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is one of seven within the School of Science, Engineering and Health. There are currently 7 full time faculty in the department, as well as a full-time laboratory manager. About 6 part-time adjunct faculty assist in the laboratory program. The department offers both B.A. and B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry, as well as a B.A. Chemistry Degree with Pennsylvania Teaching Certification.
