Roles & Responsibilities
Reports directly to Engineering Manager or reports to Production Supervisor.
Performs routine set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment.
Controls and adjusts machine settings.
Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime, and waste levels of machine operation.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection, and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery.
Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks.
Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet production needs and department goals.
Responsible for preventive maintenance scheduling, completion of work orders and tasks as assigned.
Supports installation and removal of equipment, and performance of required corrective maintenance.
Consistent presence in production departments. Monitors the production lines and proactively evaluates equipment performance for repairs and continuous improvement.
Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude to complete changeover of equipment and some operator level preventive maintenance.
Assist with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions.
Checks work using prescribed gauges, jig, and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
Experience Required
High School Diploma or GED & Certificate and 2 years of experience in relevant field
High School Diploma or GED with 4 years relevant experience required.
Must have experience working on Circuit/Electronic boards and hydraulics.
Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, vfd, servo etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems.
Mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system (welding)
Basic skills in use of mill, lathe, welding, bearing press.

Time management skills required to ensure all tasks are completed without delay.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to work with various teams.
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Flexible and adaptable in working with/on a variety of equipment, processes, projects, or assignments.
Understanding and use of trades mathematics, calibration techniques, and precision measuring instruments essential.
Constant mental and visual attention performing moderately complex work requiring close limits of accuracy and tolerance.
Must be knowledgeable in the following areas.
Use of a PC including MS Excel & MSWord.
Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics aptitude.
Ability to use multimeter.
Sensor technology
Basic plumbing (fluid and pneumatic)
Power transmission (gear box, motors, belt, and chain drives).
Eligibilities & qualifications
Relevant Fields: Electrical / Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician, Machine Builder / Repairer, Machinist, Refrigeration Mechanic, Welding Repairer.
Must have awareness of FDA and ISO regulations.
Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
