Duties:

Responsibilities:

Facilitate safe transitions for students during morning arrival, passing periods, lunch periods, scheduled class time, bathroom breaks, and dismissal.

Manage and monitor student seating charts and students' who have hall pass restrictions.

Monitor the execution of student-related duties during breakfast and lunch - maintaining a sanitary environment, ensuring students clean up after themselves, etc.

Follow ISBE school codes relative to the requirements of the food service program including food allergies, FDA rules and Health Dept.

Monitor and report student behavior when students violate the D155 policy on student behavior/discipline.

Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

Practice non-violent crisis intervention strategies, as needed.

Assist supervisor in management of student behavior during all transitions through the school day.

Enforce CDC/PDPH/CCDPH COVID-19 protocols and procedures.

Act as a liaison between administration, team leaders, Preferred Meals staff, ECHO staff, etc.

Exhibit confidentiality in relation to students, parents and staff.

Remain current in the use of First Aid, CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, EPIPen and the AED (if required by Administration).

Be knowledgeable of and implement the District Safety Plan.

Ability to move tables.

Frequent and prolonged standing, walking and bending.

Exposure to noise and activity levels associated with school life.

Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the building administrator.

Participates in in-service training programs as directed by building administrator(s).

Qualifications: High school diploma, some experience working with youth, proficient communication skills.
