Malcolm House is a 24-hour psychiatric residential treatment facility program that provides short-term residential care for psychiatric/developmentally disabled clients.
Duties include but are not limited to: * Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities * Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth's structured routine while collaborating with youth's case manager, clinician, and prescriber * Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans * Maintain a clean, safe environment * Observing, documenting, and acknowledging positive behaviors * Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma 3 or more years working with youth in a group or behavioral setting.
Bachelor degree in a related social service field with 1 year experience (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred.
Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Malcolm House is a program of Youth Consultation Service (YCS), which is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.
