Job Summary In alignment with the Cleveland Institute of Music's Mission, Vision and Institutional Learning Goals,, the Artistic Operations Manager independently and efficiently prioritizes the usage of campus spaces to support CIM's educational delivery, artistic priorities, and student success.

The Manager also cultivates and facilitates rental contracts; assists with guest artist contracting; coordinates student, employee, and guest access to CIM buildings; and as Contemporary Ensembles Administrator, supports the success of relevant ensembles and activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Manage and prioritize scheduling of all spaces on the CIM campus in alignment with educational and artistic goals.

* Maintain schedules for all off-site spaces, such as Severance Music Center, Maltz Performing Arts Center, Playhouse Square, Gartner Auditorium, etc.

in coordination with the AVP of Artistic Operations and Concerts and Events Manager.

* Serve as chief administrator of ASIMUT scheduling system, including managing user access, updates and required training for students and employees.

* Manage the full recital calendar, including final decision making on overall semester recital schedules and deadlines.

* As primary decision maker, formulate and execution of policies and procedures governing the use of CIM facilities.

* Work with the AVP of Artistic Administration to execute all contracts for Kulas Visiting Artists, Artists-in-Residence, and other guest performers and faculty, and manage payments and reimbursements.

* Serve as artistic assistant for key resident and guest artists as assigned, including managing and booking scheduling and travel arrangements, and serving as liaison for communicating key information, schedule, and deadlines.

* Assist in cultivating rental partners and executing rental agreements and invoices as needed.

* Interface with outside arts organizations holding events at CIM and coordinate support.

* In collaboration with faculty leadership, manage the needs of contemporary ensembles and serve as onsite operations manager rehearsals and performances.

* Other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, preferably in an arts-related field preferred.

* 3-5 years of proven administrative experience.

* Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Suite of products, and willingness to learn and master new technology tools and systems Personal Attributes * Ability to interact calmly and professionally with all levels of administration, students, faculty, vendors and guests.

* Extremely organized with a proactive, positive and customer service-oriented demeanor toward resolving problems and helping all CIM constituents.

* Decision making, and ability to judge contradicting schedules and needs.

* Must be a team player who is open to direction and training and who actively works to support their team colleagues.

* Must have excellent attendance and be punctual.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Work occurs in a combination of workweek office hours and evening and weekend hours, depending on the concert schedule and department needs.

May include emergency assignments related to facilities and operational needs.

Position requires physical dexterity for moving, standing, climbing or walking for significant periods of time and lifting up to 35 pounds.
