We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Radiology Department.
This role involves working closely with radiologists and other clinical staff to support and perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, while contributing to quality improvement and departmental education initiativ.
Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area under the direction of the licensed physician.
Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.
Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Master's Degree Nursing Required or Physican Assistant (PA) Experience 1 year experience in a clinical specialty practice Preferred 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner Preferred Licenses PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required or Physician Asst Lic PA License Required Prescriptive Authority Preferred Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with physicians and work under the direction of the Radiology Department.
* Assist in and perform minor fluoroscopic procedures, including GI studies under fluoroscopy.
* Support and participate in radiology department quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement (PI) initiatives.
* Assist with image acquisition and procedure preparation.
Procedures and Duties Include: * Fluoroscopy-guided procedures * CT colonography * MRI enterography, including glucagon injection * Port access and de-access * Initial assessment of contrast extravasation * MRI and CT contrast administration oversight * Quality control (QC) activities within the department * Participation in departmental education and training efforts '373594
