Description The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Contract Disease Intervention Specialist.

This position receives training and instruction regarding coordinating and completing epidemiology investigations.

Listed below are a few of the job responsibilities: * Investigate reportable sexual transmitted Infections * Illicit partners for notification, follow-up & treatment * Provide education & consultation for area healthcare providers * Ensure patients are linked to appropriate medical care/case management For more information about the Springfield-Greene County Health Department - click here.

Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Biology, Chemical Sciences, Medical Technology or related area; AND * Two years of communicable disease or Public Health work experience; * A Master's Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Epidemiological Sciences, or a related area may be substituted for one year of experience; PREFERRED * Recent epidemiology/communicable disease control experience.

Licensing/Certification * Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain, at the earliest opportunity available, certification in "Principles of Epidemiology" and "Applied Epidemiology" or equivalent specialized training as determined by the Health Department; * Requires training on the Missouri Health Surveillance Information System (MOHSIS) or other current systems.
