Description

AOA Art Instructors teach courses as needed in the Arts area (Art, Photography, Calligraphy, Antiques, Languages, and other courses created for AOA). Classes meet 7 weeks (2 hours per week, one day); workshops scheduled on weekend (length varies). Some classes meet for 1.5 hours per week.

Job Duties

Preparing syllabus and all materials for classes; providing materials to be copied at least 3 days prior to start date.

Scheduling field trips as needed (all details).

Communicating with students through emails and phone calls.

Instructing students for the course/workshop.

Communicating with the supervisor prior to, during, and following the course.

Having students complete class/instructor evaluations at the last class and submitting to supervisor.

Approving Time Clock hours prior to deadline.

Qualifications

Evidence of proficiency in the area of instruction (must be included on resume).

Ability to stand throughout entire class.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an art area, preferred.

University-level courses completed in arts, preferred.
