JOB TITLE:

Temporary Lecturer for Spring 2026

JOB PURPOSE:

To teach one Chinese course online during Spring 2026 semester.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging and well-structured course content in an online asynchronous format.

Assess student performance through timely and accurate grading of homework, quizzes, and writing assignments.

Hold three hours of online office hours per week to support student learning, answer questions, and maintain regular communication.

Provide responsive instructional support while maintaining student confidentiality.

Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging online learning environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master's degree in a related discipline

Other requirements:

Master's degree in Chinese language, literature, applied linguistics.

Prior professional teaching experience in Chinese language instruction.

Proficiency in Chinese, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility, and experience with academic tools.

Demonstrated experience in online teaching.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated experience in immersion program

College-level instructional experience preferred
