Ground Paramedic I

Position Summary: The EMS Paramedic provides safe, high quality, patient-centered care within a state-regulated and program-defined scope of practice.

The EMS Paramedic is trained, equipped and willing to deliver care in a mobile environment, as well as function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within healthcare facilities during patient transport.

The EMS Paramedic functions clinically under the direction of the program's Medical Director and Clinical Manager through Patient Care Guidelines and online medical direction, in compliance with the regulations of the Tennessee Department of Health, Office of EMS.

The EMS Paramedic will act as the team leader during care of patients in transport.

Position Qualification: Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associate's degree Preferred Diploma or Certificate of Completion Paramedic Training Program Required Experience Years of Experience Experience Type Required/Preferred (and/or) 2 years Paramedic Preferred Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
