Number of Hours Per Week: 4-6

General Statement of Duties: The Corporate and Experiential Learning Engagement Peer Assistant plays a key support role within the Career Development Center (CDC), working closely with the Student Director, Corporate and Experiential Learning, and the Student Director, Events Coordinator, to assist in coordinating employer engagement activities and experiential learning initiatives. This position is ideal for a student who is detail-oriented, professional, and interested in gaining exposure to career development, employer relations, and internship coordination.

The Corporate and Experiential Learning Engagement Peer Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing employer partnerships and expanding student access to hands-on learning opportunities. By collaborating with peer leaders and contributing to a modern marketing strategy, this position supports the CDC's mission to connect Worcester State students with meaningful professional experiences.

Responsibilities:

Support employer and experiential learning events hosted by the CDC, including info sessions, employer visits, and related programming.

Utilize Trello to manage assigned tasks, track progress, and ensure all responsibilities are completed by the given deadlines.

Work closely with the Student Director, Events Coordinator, to ensure all event details are accurately entered into Trello and Peer Assistant assignments are clearly communicated and aligned with overall timelines.

Assist in the creation of marketing content, especially short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram, as part of the CDC's shift away from traditional flyers.

Represent the CDC at events in a professional manner and help ensure a positive experience for students, faculty, and visiting employers.

Support outreach efforts to promote internships, practicum opportunities, and employer engagement events to students and faculty.

Strong organizational and communication skills

Willingness to use Trello for task tracking and accountability

Interest in employer engagement, internships, or career readiness

Creativity and comfort with video content creation or a willingness to learn

Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive

Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and staff
