Sr. Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $42 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct daily cash reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

Identify and implement improvements to enhance financial operations.

Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and prepare tax returns.

Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these benchmarks.

Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.

Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5-7 years of progressive AR accounting experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Dynamics GP) and accounting software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in leading and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
