Senior Accountant

Century Group is working with a client who has a need for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will work out of their Van Nuys, CA office and will report to the Corporate Controller. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Description:

Prepare divisional financial statements and supporting schedules monthly

Provide budget-to-actual and prior year-to-actual analysis with commentary

Create annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Liaise with staff and business partners to obtain any needed information

Liaise with TV production finance teams to ensure accuracy of data

Review and analyze third-party reporting

Update cash flow forecast monthly

Prepare journal entries

Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, including resolution of discrepancies.

Calculate third-party participation statements

Requirements:

Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven assignments

Ability to work efficiently and proactively, with excellent attention to detail

Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills

Experience using SAP and Great Plains accounting software a plus

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 4 years' accounting experience
